KEPLER 22 - b

1/4

Kepler 22 - b, also known as KOI-087.01 is an extrasolar planet orbiting within the empirical habitable zone of the Sun-like star Kepler-22. Discovered in 2010.

It has been dubbed by scientists as a ‘Waterworld’ and it is possible to be an ‘Ocean-like’ planet.

Consequently, it has a familiarity but it is alien; an unknown. It acts as a metaphor for these works which explore an alien feeling experienced when suspended in between the world of the conscious and the unconscious.

This is a fictional approach that draws on personal experience of insomnias and other sleep disorders. It is presented as a Sensorial piece that focuses simultaneously on the three-way communication between the visuals, the audio and the viewer.

It is about the fear and the anxiety of the unknown and the loosing of the self and the perceptions of reality.
